Holiday Cheer

It’s getting colder, the leaves are changing, and the holidays are arriving. Why am I not ready yet? Thanksgiving is not next week. Christmas is not slightly more than a month away. New Years… please don’t get me started on that.

Once Thanksgiving passes, it’ll all be downhill. Lines that wrap around inside the store. Parking spots a mile away from the closest entrance. Rosey cheeks. Hat hair. Salvation Army Santas on street corners and store entrances. This is what I love, and hate, about these neighboring holidays.

What happened to the fall? What happened to my summer? Why is time passing so fast? I guess it has to do with getting older? Time flies when you’re having fun?

Ack! I really can’t believe I’ll soon be hearing Christmas music non-stop. That, I believe, is the worst.

Some of the best Christmas lyrics ever?

“Jingle Bells, Batman smells…”
“Grandma got ran over by a reindeer…”
“I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus, under the mistle toe last night…”

Glad I was able to put those annoying songs in your head! Ha ha ha ha ha! They’ll be stuck there till next year!

I’ll be heading into Washington D.C. this weekend to visit DJ Matzoh Ball. Maybe I’ll post about the visit when I get back, if you’re lucky.

I have no real point to writing this. I’ve been bugged non-stop this week to write something, so I thought I’d bring some of these future time constraints to your attention. Be prepared, and get your shopping done early!
