He’s Out Blowing His Dealer

Communist Bakesale

Last night was quite possibly the best Communist Bakesale show as of yet. (Pictures here.) There was a ton of people out there, too. A ton of our friends came out (thanks guys!!!) Half the crowd was dancing crazy. The other half was watching intently. The place was packed. And sweated and all that good stuff that goes with playing in a small club. We played our balls off. I don’t think it could have been a better night. And we introduced Eric’s new one with the crazy 7/8 parts that pretty much intertwined each other in a sort of bizarre “round” style. It took a bit of practice to get it to playing level, but we totally rocked it. And Patrick’s new song that debuted at the last show was also killer. It’s totally coming around. Oh yeah, and I think we did an encore after they wouldn’t let us get off the stage.

After our set and after the Jones rocked the house, a bunch of us went up 18th Street to this excellent falafel place. I got fries. Emily got the falafel. I don’t like falafel, but this falafel was primo. And we saw Welch there. Randomness. He appears to be doing great. He looked good. And it was neat to see him there. DC man. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta.
