Roy Is A Friend Of Mine

This weekend was our first vacation in a long while. Yay Labor Day!

It was at Atwood Lake in Dellroy, Ohio. We did not see Devo.

We did get to relax at Emily’s cousin’s vacation house which is now more their real house after all the renovations have been complete. What a way to begin the transition to retirement.

Emily’s family is great. So welcoming and warm even for republicans (sans Toby and Lauren). It’s great hanging with them. And it was such a great surprise to hang with Amy and the surprise Mid-West Wedding Party. I can’t remember the last time we had this much time together. We also got sun and played on the lake with the boats and ate a ton of carbohydrates and candy. Or rather I ate a ton of candy.

And on a more serious note, $3.60 a gallon. Two police officers commit sucicide in New Orleans. This is a sad sad state of affairs.
