I received this CD a few weeks ago. But then other CDs came in and it completely slipped my mind. Until Mike emailed me to gently remind me. Thanks Mike. And apologies for the delay.
Don’t forget this record comes out September 4th. Be sure to pick up a copy and support great Baltimore music.
After being completely obsessive about how the drums were recorded, I, again, got over myself. And simply enjoyed how the record overall was recored. The guitars are awesome!! And the vocals are smooth and round with excellent harmonics. I hear a lot of Swervedriver and Jellyfish. This band could easily be pigeonholed as a great radio-friendly indie rock band with throwbacks to the early 90s alt-rock. How’s that for a mouthful of BS? But there’s nothing wrong with that! But there is a lot of intelligent & catchy pop musicalities and it’s not stale at all. It’s refreshingly potent and catchy. The guitar leads are terrific. And not Eddie Van Halen licks. But Kevin Shields lines and stripes on a different level. There is something almost metallic about the lead guitars. Ethereal. I love it, Bobby. I assume it’s Bobby. Sorry Michael if you take the leads.

A mid-tempo rocker. Thank you Bobby for this lead. I love it.

Great beat. Not sure I would have gated the snare like that. Or maybe it’s in the tuning. Reminds me of early Dismemberment Plan productions. But the beat is awesome. Simple and flow-y. And dance-y.
- This Bedroom Prayer – I keep thinking it’s the Pixies. But it so is not. I think it’s the chug-a-chug-a in the guitars. But not in a bad way.
- Mordern Vigil – Again, awesome lead. Mellow.
- Poem For The Middle Class – I love the decay of the open snare here. Definitely a stand out track. I love it.

Another great mid-tempo rocker. I like these mid-tempos. Is that Jonn from Ned’s Atomic Dustbin? Man, I miss them.
- Brandywine Situation – Nothing better than cut time. Nicely timed for a release date. However, musically I feel like this song is smelling more like Spring. Is that a triangle?! Nicely done.
- Saint Barnabas – Not sure what’s going on here.

I love these mid-tempos! AND HAND CLAPS! YES! Nice guitar work in the right channel Nice tone as well. Do I hear a synth in the left channel? I am going to listen to this again. Definitely an album highlight.
- All The Real Girls – Very slow. Click track? But it’s really a dance number when compared to Low.
- Oella – Sounds like a demo or a live track. I like where they were going with it.
