The time has come to part with our beloved Hasselblad. We haven’t used it since our only photoshoot with it in ’03. It was a great shoot and we learned a tremendous amount.
If anyone is interested in it. It’s a Hasselblad 500 C/M. It’s medium format. 6×6 or 2¼ x 2¼. Complete with a Carl Zeiss 80mm 2.8 T* lens. 12 exposure film magazine (120), standard viewer, strap and polaroid back. It’s in excellent to mint condition and was refurbished by Penn Camera in DC in ’03. Hasselblads are the Cadillacs of cameras and this model is no exception. It’s built like a workhorse. You’ll notice little to no plastic on the camera. A true sign of great design and build. Hell if it was good enough for NASA for the moon landings, it’s good enough for you.
If you or you know anyone interested, the ebay auction is here. I will also be availble to help you with it, if you need it.
The Lomolitos pictures are in from the Wedding party. At least a red, blue, green and yellow camera. 20 more cameras to get developed. Here is one picture from each camera. I am rather happy with the results. And can’t wait to reuse these disposables!

The time has come to move on. I’ve had my Nikon Coolpix 5000 for almost 4 years now. I remember buying it for about $1,200 when it came out in 2001. It was the cream of the crop for “point and shoot” digital cameras. It’s actually stood the test of time and is still strangely above par to most consumer digital cameras. It’s treated me wonderfully. It’s taken pictures of bands ranging from Sonic Youth to Alan Jackson to Craig David to Michelle Branch to Mouse on Mars to Bob Dylan to Roni Size.
But it’s time. It’s time to sell it to another camera lover who will take care of it just as I have.
If anyone is interested, I am auctioning my baby at Ebay. If anyone is seriously interested and makes me an offer I can’t refuse or I just simply like you, I might contemplate selling off of Ebay.
