Prince at Nation in Chocolate City

I just got a call from Eric. His friend works at the Birchmere. Looks like Prince is coming to Nation in Washington DC this Sunday and Monday for a mini-tour. I guess it was just announced. He’s already hit Minneapolis, LA, San Francisco, Chicago and Philly. He is supporting Támar, his new protégé. I hadn’t heard anything about this show in DC on any Prince fan site. But the link is up on Ticketmaster. So it must be legit.

I actually contemplated going. But I do this every time he comes to DC. I don’t want to be a jerk, but I really don’t think my experiece at the Warner Theatre in 2002 will be beat. So I don’t really bother. You can’t beat Warner Theatre. 10th row seats. Larry Graham on bass. Santana on guitar for 2 encores. How Come You Dont Call Me Anymore was played. The shit was hot. Nation isn’t the ideal club to see a band. But if anyone is interested: [link] $80. I am sure it will be a memorable show. Prince does not let down. It’s not in his contract.
